Late last week Hulu released Hulu Desktop for the Mac. It allows you to play Hulu videos without using a web browser. For those unfamiliar with Hulu, it features full length, ad-supported videos from NBC and other networks. It’s a great way to catch up on episodes of shows you’ve missed if DVR hasn’t made it’s way in to your house yet. There is even a section for subscriptions to save you from having to track down every single new episode of your favorite show.

The minimum application requirements is an Intel Pentium Core Duo 2.0GHz processor, at least 2.0 GB of RAM, Mac OS X v10.4 (Tiger) or later and a 2 Mbps Internet connection. If you don’t meet those requirements for the desktop app, you can always go directly to their site using your web browser.

I apologize in advance for posting this video, however it is the opening day for Star Trek and more than a few among us are excited. I saw this video a couple of months ago and thought it was well done, if not a little over the top.
