Apple has released the latest version of their Aperture photo editing software.
Aperture 3 is really a semi-pro version of iPhoto that allows for more editing and organization options.
If you currently use iPhoto and wish you had more controls and editing options but don’t want to make the leap to Photoshop, Aperture may be just what you’re looking for.
At $199 for the full version ($99 for the upgrade) the software is worth trying before buying. Luckily, Apple has a 30 day free trial which will let you play with the full version.
The download is about 550MB and you’ll need an intel processor running 10.5.8 or later.

Today Adobe released their Photoshop.com Mobile iPhone app. It allows you to perform some basic photo editing without having to leave your iPhone.
Some of the editing features available are cropping, rotation, flipping, exposure and saturation. Basic Photoshop filters include Black and White, Vignette Blur and Pop.
The app includes 2GB of free online storage for you photos, which you can edit directly from the app. You’re also able to edit photos already on your phone, or take new pictures using the camera.
The app is not nearly as full featured as any Photoshop desktop applications, but it’s definitely a start. Photoshop.com Mobile is available at the App Store for free.

Here’s a shot (more like a few) from our company outing on Wednesday. I put this together from 18 different pictures using Photoshop shot off a Nikon D80. Took some more work than using a wide angle lens, but produced some interesting results.
