Good question. Since your upgrade was done by a certified Apple technician, your warranty has not been affected. Your new hard drive and memory is covered under our MyService warranty (which is longer anyway.) @Craig

Great news, one question, which I hope does not sound confusing: A month or so, I had MyService upgrade the hard drive, and memory on a brand new unibody macbook, will those modifications, or similar modifications in the future possibly void my apple warranty, for any future repairs on parts that are still under warranty from Apple?

Thanks for the feedback. No additional info is required, we can look everything up by serial number.

I am very excited about this development! I have been too busy to make it out to the closest apple store to have my macbook looked at under its applecare agreement. I have had great dealings with macservice in the past, an I am looking forward to having this option.

What info will you require from customers who send in applecare eligible machines?

Congratulations, MyService. I think this is better news for Apple, actually. As great as Apple can be, MyService is a role model for great service and value.
